This statement is based on the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, authors, and the publisher.

1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to Larik are expected to adhere to the following ethical principles:

  • Originality and Plagiarism
Manuscripts must be original works. Any use of other authors’ ideas, data, or words must be properly cited. Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, is unacceptable.

  • Multiple or Redundant Publication
Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal or publish substantially similar content in multiple publications.

  • Authorship and Contribution
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, analysis, or interpretation of the study. All contributors who meet authorship criteria must be listed, and all listed authors must approve the final manuscript.

  • Data Accuracy and Integrity
Authors must present accurate data and ensure that research results are honestly reported. Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data is considered unethical.

  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the research or interpretation of findings must be disclosed.

  • Ethical Research Practices
Research involving human participants or sensitive data must comply with ethical standards and, where applicable, obtain approval from an appropriate ethics committee.

2. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

Editors of Larik are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the academic record and ensuring fair editorial practices:

  • Handling Ethical Issues
Editors will take appropriate action in cases of suspected plagiarism, data manipulation, or other ethical misconduct, including rejection or retraction if necessary.
